Heresyman is an idea that will never die

Heresyman is an idea, not a person.

Hello, it’s me
I’ve thought about us for a long, long time
Maybe I think too much… – Todd Rundgren

Hello, remember me? I had stopped writing daily in this blog in the middle of February. I was on hiatus deciding whether or not to let Heresyman fade away into obscurity. Now that I have had time to simmer, I think not. I am who I am, and I know the world needs heretics and shadows to reflect and highlight what is going on. But, change has happened, and this blog will only see a weekly post at best. It is what it is.

In the time since then I have been diving into entrepreneurship and have found it is a vibrant movement right now. Shift is happening, and I believe it is time for individuals to take responsibility for themselves. In doing so, they will reap the benefits of the energy they expend rather than bequeath the riches to someone or something else (corporation).

I know a person cannot enjoy life without working toward a dream. The Bible tells us, without a vision, the people perish. This is why the education system was set up to delete your dreams. It was set up to provide automatons to factories. When this system was set up at the beginning of the industrial Age, it worked well. Times have changed. People have grown tired of being slaves and they are crying to God to be released. Why is this? What is so wrong about working for someone else and making them rich? Well, for one thing, THAT!

See, there is a problem working for somebody else’s dream, it is completely exhausting and there is no fulfillment. It does not empower, in fact, it drains the power you do have! It is out of alignment with who you are meant to be. Sure, the education system has conned you into believing in hard work for honest pay. The problem is, the workers do the hard work and the corporation gets the honest pay. It is not illegal, it is the system. The right thing for the employee to do, according to the system, is to get in alignment with the corporation. Sacrifice your personal dreams for the company. Get out of alignment with your own dreams to do so. (Or worse, have your dreams smashed into oblivion completely.) No dreams is as out of alignment as you can get!

So, what is wrong with being out of alignment with your dream? Everything! It drains your body, mind, soul, and spirit of power! Nobody is empowered by working for someone else’s dream. Also, working for money alone is saccharin. It is unhealthy, and destructive. This doesn’t mean you can’t work for a big company. If you are working with a company because its purpose is in alignment with your dream, then you are built up and empowered.

It is time to take stock of what your are doing and why you are doing it. Are your efforts and energy increasing the coffers of the corporation? What about your coffers? Are you going through the daily grind to get ahead? Good luck with that! Never use the daily grind as a stepping stone… it is too slippery. It is like running up a down escalator that goes faster (in the wrong direction) to match your speed. Working for someone else truly is like going up the down escalator. You can’t pause to rest, because doing so will send you down in the wrong direction. It is a full out sprint to the end… and if you do happen make it, you have spent all your power to get there.

Enter the Entrepreneur!

Entrepreneur is a buzzword going around lately. This is because of the disenfranchised population of America. By this I am speaking of the population who is being short-sheeted in the American Dream. The disenfranchised is not from one demographic either, in fact you will find Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials all have a representative chunk in this new paradigm. Sadly, the Oldest and expectedly wisest of the group is the least likely to be willing to adjust to this new paradigm, even though they are the ones who have lost the most in this game. Working for The Man for 30 years with too little savings to carry them through a retirement with a longer life than was expected. How many people reaching retirement age have enough money to retire at or above the lifestyle they’ve been used to?

Let’s take a look at what an entrepreneur is. From dictionary.com:

noun: entrepreneur; plural noun: entrepreneurs

  1. a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurs tend exhibit positive biases towards finding new possibilities and seeing unmet market needs, and a tendency towards risk-taking that makes them more likely to exploit business opportunities.

I recommend checking out the entire Wikipedia article listed above. It is quite informative and yet a bit ambiguous. Here is what I have concluded in the last few months: An Entrepreneur is a special type of person. Entrepreneur is not a job title. It is a mindset.

The world paradigm is going to continue to be changed, and this change will be exponential. There is a shift happening and the old way of doing things is going to be blind-sided. More employees will become aware of their personal responsibility and more and more of them will develop the entrepreneurial mindset. As this continues to happen, companies will be forced to have a mission statement which will entice people to join in synergistic enthusiasm as an entrepreneurial choice because the mission is in full alignment with their own mission, or quit to find or create something that IS in alignment. This kernel of an idea is starting to spread, and soon it will hit the tipping point, critical mass. Then everything will change. I am going to do everything I can to help this happen.

There’s a storm brewing…
