If it’s not good for everyone, it’s no good at all

The title of this post is the Cherokee version of Ubuntu.

(Yes, it is the name of an opensource operating system, but I am thinking of where THAT name came from.)

UBUNTU is: I am what I am because of who we all are.

During my musing about Utopia and Abundance, I remembered Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an African philosophy of unity and harmony in community.

Michael Tellinger founded a movement of Ubuntu with the belief that ONE SMALL TOWN – Can Change The World! It is a true, bottom up strategy to make an end run around the greedy money socio-economic system we live in now.

Contributionism is a system where everyone contributes their skills and talents for the benefit of everyone in their community – and the entire community benefits from the collaborative efforts of everyone.

No MONEY
No BARTER
No TRADE
No VALUE attached to anything, that is greater than anything else – because all of our contributions should always be seen as equally valuable to the community.

A community where everyone contributes their talents and skills for the benefit of the entire community.

This has potential… I need to take a deeper look at this.

One for all and all for one!
