a recap of the four parts that make up who you are

a recap of the four parts that make up who you are

Instinct, Intellect, Intuition, and Intention. These are also known as Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit.

The reason people only think of a trinity of parts is caused by the fact we can only observe a maximum of three of those parts at any one moment. This phenomenon is caused by our third dimensional life of height, width, depth. But, we now know there is a fourth dimension we can observe, called time.

Time is a strange dimension in that we cannot fully observe this dimension as we do the other three. We can see back in time, but not forward. We can move forward in time, but not back. It is a restricted dimension for us.

Let us call the term for this dimension – breadth. So, the four types that make you up can be observed in height, width, depth, and breadth. Hey, it’s biblical!

Ephesians 3:18-19 (King James Version (KJV))

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

These correspond to Instinct, Intellect, Intuition, and Intention. In this dimension, we cannot divide these aspects any further. As with the platonic solid of a tetrahedron, we cannot make any simpler shape. Because of this, we can use a model of the tetrahedron to illustrate our limited view.

Here is a page you can print, cut, and build your own model: http://heresyman.com/build-your-own-tetrahedron-model (Right click on the picture, then paste it to a document, then you can print it.)

The only way to view all four sides of a tetrahedron is to rotate the object. Time is required to observe all that you are. So, hold the model in your hand and try to look at all four sides. Can’t do it. (Okay, if you are standing in front of a mirror you can… work with me!) The only way to see all four sides is to rotate the tetrahedron. Time allows you to do this.

Life goes on! Be an active part! Life is for living!
